32 week update

I would normally have seen my doctor this morning, but I went in on Tuesday morning to follow-up from my trip to Labor and Delivery over the weekend. My doctor wasn't too concerned I was having some contractions but more concerned that they are uncomfortable. I guess at this stage of pregnancy, contractions should just feel like my belly is tightening and not be uncomfortable. I was given an oral prescription for the same drug I got in the hospital to relax my uterus. I'm just supposed to take is as needed. I'm also supposed to cut back at work, and drink more water. All of which, I am doing! As of today, it seems the contractions are fewer and more spaced out. The rest of my appointment was all the normal stuff... my blood pressure was good, baby's heart rate was good, somehow I'd lost 2 pounds, and my belly measures good.

James is currently about 3.75 pounds- about as heavy as a large jicama- and is 16.7 inches long. He will really start filling out in the next few weeks as it gets closer to his debut out of the womb, and into the world. Let's just hope he doesn't get too anxious and decide to come out before his little lungs are ready!
