James' first Ranger's game

For those of you who do not know, Dave is a huge Ranger's fan. He has been dying to take James to his first game, so we took him to the last home game of this season.

This past weekend, Dan Hurd and Julie Ta were married in Dallas. Dave was a groomsman as he and Dan have been friends for many years. We had such a fun time and are so happy we could share in Dan and Julie's special day! James loved every second of the weekend! He was really happy and smiled for everyone! Unfortunately, we did not take many photos since Dave was part of the wedding and I was taking care of James. Here's what we did take...

Today, my friend and coworker, Erika, came by with her baby girl Lauren. Erika and I were due 5 days apart (Erika- May 23; me- May 28). We were both late and scheduled for induction for June 3, but we both had our babies on June 2. James and Lauren are only a few hours apart (Lauren is older). James is quite fond of Lauren as you can tell by the hand holding. Our little flirt reached right out for Lauren's hand!

While in Austin, we spent some time with James' Nana to celebrate her birthday. James loves to put everything in his mouth and especially likes to chew on his toy giraffe. He was going after the giraffe pretty aggressively when this picture was taken. James looks ferocious!

Our visit with the Gilmore's

This past weekend we drove down to Austin and had lunch with my dear friend Stacey and her daughter Ella. Ella is 10 1/2 months old, and she just started walking! She also loves to give kisses and planted a few on James. He wasn't complaining!

James was pretty happy during our visit considering we had just spent 3 1/2 hours in the car. He cried only when Ella cried. So cute!

It's football season again! My two boys will most likely being wearing burnt orange every Saturday until the beginning of next year. Apparently, it's mandatory!

Lately James has been wanting to stand a lot, so we decided to try out the door frame jumper. He loves it! Our little June Bug is getting big too fast!

James has become more and more interested in his toys these days. I used to hang a couple on the handle of the car seat, but James wants to hold them and eat them. So now, I just pile them up on his lap when we get in the car. This is what I found today after we got back from running some errands...

"3" Day

September 2 was a big day for our family of 3! James turned 3 months old, and mommy and daddy celebrated our 3rd wedding anniversary! We got a cake to celebrate the occasion, and all 3 of us made wishes and blew out the candle!

Our sweet June Bug is growing and changing so fast! He is so curious and active, and we just love seeing him develop. James is doing quite a bit these days...

1) He smiles all the time! He definitely knows who mommy and daddy are, and we get big, open mouth smiles on a regular basis.
2) He rolls from his back to his tummy easily, and from his tummy to his back with a little more effort. James is now a tummy sleeper which has made him a much better sleeper and a much happier baby.
3) He can hold his head up steady while on his tummy and while being supported in sitting.
4) He can track objects/ toys with his eyes consistently.
5) He is able to grasp and hold onto everything!
6) He is currently weighing in at 12 lbs. 14 oz. and is wearing 3-6 month clothes.
7) He has recently discovered his feet and has started to reach for them and hold them.
8) We've heard what sounds like a giggle a few times in the last week, so he should be laughing in no time.

We love our baby boy so much, and we're so excited he's becoming such a big boy!
