James' Austin Birthday Party

We went down to Austin for Memorial Day weekend and had a party for James with all our family and friends there. So far, it's become an annual thing for James to have 2 birthday parties! I'm not sure how many years we'll be able to keep it up!

We had the party at the splash pad at Pease Park, and James LOVED playing in the water. I baked an assortment of cookies in lieu of birthday cake because it was too hot for icing. It was difficult to get James to leave the splash pad to eat cookies or open presents. Did I mention that James LOVED the water?

James' Fort Worth birthday party

We had a small party for James at our house with the Gonzalez's, Warner's and Davis'. The kids splashed around in the water table and baby pool we got James for his birthday. It was so much fun watching James play with his cousins and friends!

Happy 2nd Birthday, James!

Our sweet James is 2 years old! He has grown up so fast.

Lately, his language has been developing rapidly. He says so many new words each day that I can't even list them.

James loves music! He dances, sings and plays instruments. When he sings, it is usually just the last word of each line of any song.

His new trick is jumping. He jumps all over the house saying "I'm jumping, I'm jumping!"

He absolutely adores his little sister! He wants to hug and kiss her all the time. He calls her Baby instead of Audrey. James is a great big brother!

We love you James! Happy 2nd birthday!

Snugglebugs!

Audrey is 3 months old!

Audrey is becoming more and more playful each day. She has the cutest little giggle when you tickle her, and she smiles really big when you stick your tongue out at her.

She has rolled from her belly to her back a few times, although we haven't really witnessed this. All I know is that when I put her down to sleep, I put her on her belly (yes, I put her on her belly), and when she woke up, I found her on her back.

Audrey is sleeping through the night more often than not! And, if she needs to be fed in the night, it's usually no more than once. She's been a pretty good sleeper at night since the very beginning.

She is starting to be a better napper. For a while, she took five 45 minutes naps each day. Lately, she's been taking less naps for longer.

Mother's Day

We had a wonderful day together as a family on Mother's Day! I was spoiled rotten! I got to sleep in, was given roses and presents, ate delicious food, and got lots of hugs and kisses.

Easter 2011

This year, we spent Easter at home with our little family of four. There were many highs for the day, and many lows as well. This picture should explain the lows...

After a late night visit to the ER with James, we discovered that all the crying was for a good reason. Our poor little man had double ear infections and croup.

So, now for the high moments...
