Snugglebugs!

Audrey is 3 months old!

Audrey is becoming more and more playful each day. She has the cutest little giggle when you tickle her, and she smiles really big when you stick your tongue out at her.

She has rolled from her belly to her back a few times, although we haven't really witnessed this. All I know is that when I put her down to sleep, I put her on her belly (yes, I put her on her belly), and when she woke up, I found her on her back.

Audrey is sleeping through the night more often than not! And, if she needs to be fed in the night, it's usually no more than once. She's been a pretty good sleeper at night since the very beginning.

She is starting to be a better napper. For a while, she took five 45 minutes naps each day. Lately, she's been taking less naps for longer.

Mother's Day

We had a wonderful day together as a family on Mother's Day! I was spoiled rotten! I got to sleep in, was given roses and presents, ate delicious food, and got lots of hugs and kisses.

James painted this picture at school, and gave it to me for Mother's Day. It is now hanging in the hallway near his room. I love it!

Easter 2011

This year, we spent Easter at home with our little family of four. There were many highs for the day, and many lows as well. This picture should explain the lows...

After a late night visit to the ER with James, we discovered that all the crying was for a good reason. Our poor little man had double ear infections and croup.

So, now for the high moments...

Uncle Mike's Deployment

This past week, we went to Fort Hood in Killeen, Texas to see Uncle Mike leave for Afghanistan. Mike is in the Army band and will be playing music for the troops there. He is expected to be gone for about a year. Our prayers are and will be constantly with him, as well as all the men and women there fighting for our country.

We miss you already Mike! Be safe, and come home soon!

Audrey is 2 months old!

Our beautiful daughter is growing up so fast! At Audrey's 2 month check-up, she weighed 10 lbs. 15.5 oz. (50th percentile) and was 23.5 inches long (90th percentile). She's a healthy girl! Audrey is smiling more and more and becoming increasingly interactive each day. She has great head control and can follow our movements around her with her eyes and head. She loves to look at James especially! She has become quite the fighter when it comes to going to sleep- we think her big brother taught her that when we weren't looking, unfortunately! We have already forgotten what life was like before Audrey was here. We love our sweet girl so much!

Apology

I've sat down at the computer to post on the blog so many times in the last week, but it seems I can never get any posts completed. My apologies to those who read our blog regularly, and to Audrey and James for being so behind in documenting our lives these days.
