Rolling Caught on Camera!

James has been rolling from his back to his tummy for about 2 weeks now, and he has just started being able to go from his tummy to his back. Every time I pull out the video camera, James just stares at me and stops what he is doing. But, finally, I caught him rolling!

James likes when we help him sit up, so today I tried out the Bumbo. Although his head was a little wobbly, he liked it!!

Trip to Pensacola

Last Thursday, we packed up all of James' baby gear, and flew to Pensacola for a short vacation. James got to meet his great grandma and grandpa Gabriel. He had the best time playing with them, as well as some of mommy's cousins. Mommy and Daddy had a wonderful and relaxing time. We got lots of rest, lounged by the pool, visited with family and ate lots of yummy food. It was hard to leave when the weekend was over.

Happy bath time

In general, James is not too happy with bath time. I think he gets cold despite me placing warm washcloths over him and pouring warm water on him. Today, James was smiling for his entire bath! Here are a couple pictures while he was drying off...

James is 2 months old!

Today we took James to the doctor for his 2 month check-up. He is a healthy boy! He now weighs 11 lbs. 7.5 oz. and is 23 1/4 in. long. Unfortunately, James got his first round of immunizations today. Baby and Mommy had a tough time, but Daddy stayed strong for us! James is growing and changing so much each day. It is so fun to watch him notice new things and smile more and more. We love him so much!

James has found his mobile

One morning recently, I put James down in his crib and wound up his mobile with the hope to keep him entertained while I did something in the other room for a minute. When I came back to get him, he was smiling at the mobile! Until this moment, he hadn't noticed it at all. Now, he smiles at it anytime we wind it up and let him watch it.
