Audrey is 2 months old!

Our beautiful daughter is growing up so fast! At Audrey's 2 month check-up, she weighed 10 lbs. 15.5 oz. (50th percentile) and was 23.5 inches long (90th percentile). She's a healthy girl! Audrey is smiling more and more and becoming increasingly interactive each day. She has great head control and can follow our movements around her with her eyes and head. She loves to look at James especially! She has become quite the fighter when it comes to going to sleep- we think her big brother taught her that when we weren't looking, unfortunately! We have already forgotten what life was like before Audrey was here. We love our sweet girl so much!

Apology

I've sat down at the computer to post on the blog so many times in the last week, but it seems I can never get any posts completed. My apologies to those who read our blog regularly, and to Audrey and James for being so behind in documenting our lives these days. Please stay tuned because I have a list of posts to complete, and this week is going to be the week they are completed! I can just feel it!

Life with a newborn and a toddler...

...sure does move fast! Audrey is already almost 2 months old! She has started smiling and cooing at us. She loves to watch James when he is near her. And, she loves to snuggle! She is a great sleeper at night (she goes down around 9 pm and wakes to eat around 2 am and 5 am, and then is up for the morning around 8 am), but fights napping during the day leaving her a little cranky sometimes. James was the same way, except he fought sleep all day and night! What can I say, our kids are stubborn, and they don't want to miss a thing by sleeping! James has adjusted fairly well. He loves to give his sister kisses, and is always concerned when she cries.

We've had lots of family visiting lately. First, Uncle Robert and Jolie came to meet our sweet Audrey, and then Nana (Dave's mom) spent her Spring Break with us. James had so much fun with Nana, and was very sad to see her go back home. Our next visitors were Uncle Mike and Aunt Amanda. James loves to show Uncle Mike his musical talent... maybe he'll be a musician like his uncle! And finally, Grandma and Grandpa (Stephanie's parents) came to visit. James was so cute with the two of them. He had the hardest time saying grandma and grandpa, and came up with all sorts of variations! James had such a fun time with everyone here, and Mama got some much needed help with Audrey.

Catching up

I did not intend to neglect our blog once Audrey was born, but life with a toddler and newborn leaves little time for blogging! I do hope to get caught up through the next week, so stay tuned for more posts!
